Membership Application
The Roche Colorado Community Advisory Panel (CAP) accepts applications for membership for a period of roughly one month each year beginning on the first Monday of September and ending on the first Monday of October. After your completed application is received, an evening interview with the CAP Membership Committee is scheduled for the last week of October.
The Membership Committee selects those applicants who they believe will best contribute to the CAP. The goal is to have a well-rounded membership whose backgrounds reflect a broad variety of viewpoints in the Boulder community while also being committed to a collaborative process of communication and mutual understanding. New members attend an evening orientation meeting on the first Wednesday in December and begin a two-year term in January.
CAP members serve a two-year term, which is renewable. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month, generally from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; attendance is extremely important. The CAP may form committees to accomplish specific tasks, which may call for additional time. The average CAP member’s total time commitment is five to six hours per month. The CAP uses a consensus-based model; formal recommendations are sent to the company only after consensus is reached, following a thorough discussion.
The role of the CAP continues to be important as changes in the manufacturing process and management occur at the Boulder facility. More information on the CAP's purpose and function can be found through the links in the Table of Contents at the left.
If you would like to apply to become a member of the Roche Colorado CAP, please email the CAP Facilitator, Marsha Caplan, for an application form at join.rcap@rochecap.org and put the word "CAP" in the subject line
Before applying, it is a good idea to review the CAP Objectives, How We Function, and Meetings pages of this website.
